MUKYO began shodo at the age of ten and holds the eighth dan in both brush and pen calligraphy. Rooted in the classics and reaching into contemporary expression, her work has drawn more than 50 million cumulative views worldwide. For corporate ceremonies, department-store events, hotels, and brand occasions, she brushes a large-scale work in a single stroke.

Questions
How long does a performance take?
The brushing itself takes a few minutes. The full program, including the surrounding moments, is designed around your event.
Can the performance take place outside Japan?
Yes. Engagements outside Japan are welcome — please get in touch.
What happens to the finished work?
It can be exhibited at the venue or delivered afterwards; specifications are arranged individually.
What will be written?
The characters are chosen to suit the occasion — from a single kanji to a company name or slogan. We can also select the words with you.
Can it take place outdoors?
Wind and weather affect the work, so this is decided after reviewing the conditions of the venue.
How far in advance should we get in touch?
Paper, tools, and the program all need preparation, so we recommend reaching out at least one month before the event. If your date is sooner, please still get in touch.
What does it cost?
Each engagement is quoted individually by scale and content. MUKYO primarily accepts engagements for companies, commercial facilities, and hotels.
